NATO WILL TRY TO INCLUDE OFFICIAL BAKU IN ITS REGIONAL SCENARIOS - ARMENIAN POLITICAL ANALYST

YEREVAN. - NATO will attempt to include Azerbaijan in its peacekeeping
programs, Armenian Center for National and International Studies
Director of Research, analyst Manvel Sargsyan stated during a press
conference on Monday.
"The West tries to have some bearing on Azerbaijan to convince it
toward participating in the regional scenarios," said Sargsyan.
Reflecting on NATO's experience in deploying peacekeepers at the
borders of Iran and Greece, the political scientist noted that
everything is very complicated here because not everything is dependant
on one side.
To note, Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan and NATO Secretary
General Anders Fogh Rasmussen held a joint news conference, in
Armenia's capital city Yerevan on September 6, during which they
confirmed NATO's and CSTO's mutual acceptance of Armenia's policy of
complementarity. Rasmussen paid visits to Georgia and Azerbaijan, too.
