Baku - APA. The European parliamentarians continue strongly condemning
the position of Armenia due to the Ramil Safarov's extradition to
Azerbaijan.
Florian Hahn, the member of German Bundestag, the chairman of working
group on Foreign Policy parliamentary fraction of the Christian
Democratic Union/ Christian-Social Union (CDU/CSU), commented on the
aggressive position of Armenia on the Ramil Safarov's extradition
to Azerbaijan. The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) told APA that
the parliamentarians adopted a document on 20th anniversary on the
occupation of the Azerbaijani territories situated in Nagorno Karabakh
and its suburbs since 1992. The document underlined that the sides to
think over in detail the current form of the settlement of the conflict
and give impetus to the settlement process. The peaceful settlement of
the conflict and normalization of relations will create economic and
social stimulus in the region. In this regard, the reactions of Armenia
on the Ramil Safarov's extradition to Azerbaijan cause more anxiety."
Florian Hahn noted that Armenia uses this legal extradition against
Hungary: "Armenia uses this legal extradition against our European
partner Hungary. The continuation of Armenia's efforts against the
legal acts of the Hungarian government based on international legal
norms can harm the ceasefire regime in the Southern Caucasus and
cause its violation. Together with its friends in the OSCE, NATO and
UN Germany will pay much attention to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
However, these efforts should not be stopped by such reactions, as
suspense of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Hungary. Such
actions prevent the EU dialogue with Armenia within the Eastern
Partnership. "
Philipp Mißfelder, the chairman of the committee on foreign affairs of
current fraction of Christian Democratic and Christian-Social Union
and O. Gutting, a member of Christian Democratic Party protested
the position of Armenia due to the Ramil Safarov's extradition to
Azerbaijan. They attracted their attention to the massacres committed
by Armenia in Khojaly and illegal "presidential elections" held in
the occupied areas of Azebaijan on July 19, 2012. They priced Ramil
Safarov's extradition as legal.
