CSTO TO HOLD ANNUAL MILITARY EXERCISES IN ARMENIA

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a military
alliance among members of the Commonwealth of Independent States,
will hold its annual joint military exercises on Saturday.
The "Cooperation-2012" drills will last until Sept. 19 and involve
the armed forces of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan
and Tajikistan.
Combat-training exercises were staged here Monday in preparation for
the regional security bloc's military drill. A total of 100 Russian
troops and Armenian tank units took part in the rehearsal.
