The Nagorno-Karabakh issue has no-and cannot have any-military
solution, former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan and the OSCE Minsk
Group's former American Co-Chair Matthew Bryza told Azerbaijan's
1news.az website.
"As far as I know, both Azerbaijan and Armenia don't want a military
solution to this matter because they, too, favor a peaceful resolution
of the problem. I'm simply confident that the Co-Chairs need to make
maximum efforts to bring the parties' positions closer," Bryza said.
In his view, this matter's diplomatic solution is not only possible,
but, also, it is on the negotiating table.
"The agreements, which are reached between the Co-Chairs and the
presidents [of Armenia and Azerbaijan] are a realistic option. I'm
confident that, irrespective of everything, the negotiation process
between Azerbaijan and Armenia should continue," Matthew Bryza
stressed.
