The situation over Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh has transferred to a
new platform, consequently, there is a need to undertake preventive
measures, political analyst Levon Shirinyan told a news conference
on Thursday, calling to get prepared for war, irrespective whether
it will take place or not.

"The Armenian side has to carry out pan-national mobilization to
avoid war and be ready for it. We should first of all rely on our
    own forces," he said.

"There is no international guarantee of the Armenian issue, even of
the life of one soldier which has been proved recently [extradition
and release of murderer Ramil Safarov]," the analyst said.

Shirinyan said one cannot rely on the European values. "Stop it. They
made both us and Azerbaijan hostages. The voiced responses are
crocodile's tears. If no punitive measures are applied, the sympathies
do not have any value," he said.

Shirinyan offered to invite conference of Armenian lobby and discuss
concrete issues. "We should study the situation created over Armenia,
Nagorno Karabakh. Issues on preparation for the 100th anniversary of
Armenian Genocide should also be discussed," he said.

The analyst said the political figures and diplomats who were aware
of Hungarian government's decision and have not undertaken steps to
    prevent it should be sacked.

Asked about authorities' opportunities to unite people in case of
war, the political analyst said there is a need of conducting fair
    elections for doing it.
