TATEV CABLEWAY SERVES 100000TH PASSENGER

YEREVAN. - The Wings of Tatev aerial cableway heading to the Tatev
monastery in southern Armenia has served over 100,000 passengers
(PHOTOS).
The 100,000th passenger, resident of neighboring village Anahit
Mailyan was granted a 7-day tour to Jermuk resort.
The cableway serves 800-1,000 passengers on weekends, director of
the cableway Tigran Ghazaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In Jan.-Sept. the cableway served 52,000 passengers, by 1,000 more
than during the same period of the last year.
The "Wings of Tatev", or "Tatever", cable-car system is 5.7-km
long, and its highest point is 330 meters above ground. "Tatever"
is officially registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as
the world's longest passenger cableway.
