Valerie Boyer, author of the Armenian genocide bill, which criminalizes
those who deny Armenian Genocide in France, had an interview with
Armenian Public TV.
"Former president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, created the necessary
conditions for the adoption of the bill, but he had to wait until the
signing of the document and see if it is accepted in the Constitutional
Council. Those who say that he could sign it before that are wrong.
The law only refers to France and its citizens, we didn't mean to
hurt Turkey, but we see the fact that they are very aggressive towards
the Armenian Genocide issue, and do everything to deny it.
As we know the new president of France, Francois Hollande, before
coming to the power, in the pre-election period promised to recognize
the bill, but as we see he doesn't follow his promises, so I promise
that I will once again put Armenian Genocide bill on France's
parliament agenda!
We must carry out the work till the end; we must make the entire
world recognize that fact.
Concerning Safaraov's extradition, I'm also concerned. Hungary mustn't
have done such a step.
I have even read a statement that Azerbaijan gave Hungry $ 3 Billion
for the extradition. I don't want to believe that everything can be
bought either by money or by oil. This is the right time to recognize
NKR independence, to recognize Armenian Genocide; the whole world
must recognize the facts." Said Valerie Boer
