APPOINTMENTS TO NAGORNO-KARABAKH GOVERNMENT POSTS NOT TO AFFECT ARF-D

The possibility of Dashnak political figures' appointment to the
key government posts in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) cannot
affect the rating of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation
Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) before the presidential election in Armenia
Vahan Hovhannisyan, an ARF-D parliamentary group member, told Tert.am.
Nagorno-Karabakh's political agenda is essentially different from that
of Armenia, and the relations between the ARF-D and authorities in
Armenia must not necessarily repeat themselves in Nagorno-Karabakh,
he said.
"So let us view Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] as the second Armenian
state, if not entirely, at least largely independent," he said.
The ARF-D Central Committee in the NKR is entirely independent of
the ARF-D Executive Council in Armenia. "We made all the decisions
independently of each other, which is natural, if they do not run
counter to our party's regulations," Hovhannisyan said.
Artur Aghabekyan, and ARF-D member, was offered the post of NKR
vice-premier. Also, David Ishkhanyan, an ARF-D Executive Council
member, was offered the post of NKR FM.
