NAGORNO-KARABAKH PARLIAMENT AGREES TO APPOINT ARUTYUNIAN PRIME MINISTER

The parliament of the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh republic has
given its consent to President Bako Saakian to appoint Ara Arutyunian
prime minister.
The parliamentarians voted for leaving Arutyunian prime minister
unanimously in a secret ballot at an extraordinary meeting on Friday.
Saakian was reelected president of Nagorno-Karabakh in elections on
July 19.
The Nagorno-Karabakh constitution stipulates that, once receiving such
consent from the parliament, a president is supposed to appoint a prime
minister within three days and other government members proposed by
the prime minister within the next 20 days.
