International Summer School for Young astronomers launched in Byurakan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: International Summer School for
Young astronomers, the fourth among Byurakan summer schools declared
its launch on September 17. As Armenian Astronomical Company told
Armenpress, the school is held in the framework of events dedicated to
1400th anniversary of Anania Shirakatsi.
Over 35 young astronomers from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Iran, Armenia
and other countries are participating in it. Prominent astrologers
Jayant Vishnu Narlikar Indian cosmologist and physicist, USA Cornelia
University Professors Yervant Terzian and Richard Lovelace, Victor
Hambartsumyan International Prize 2010 winner Garik Israyelyan
(Spain), current year winners Jaan Einasto( Estonia), Igor Novikov (
Russia), French Armenain astronomer George Alesyan, Italian
astronomers Korin Rossini and others are invited to lecture and hold
practical classes jointly with Byurakan Observatory astrologers.
Besides lectures and practical classes the participants are scheduled
to partake at observations, elaborations,acquaintance with Oservatory
works and tours launched in Armenia. The participants of the school
have opportunity to take part in the award ceremony after Victor
Hambardzumyan hosted in National Academy of Sciences of the Republic
of Armenia.
