YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: The `Cooperation 2012' joint
military drills of the Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF) of the
Collective Security Treaty Organization (SCTO) were conducted on high
level. According to Armenpress, this evaluation of the military drills
conducted in Armenia was given by the CSTO Secretary General Nikolay
Bordyuzha.
The subdivisions of the Armed Forces, Security Services and Internal
Affairs Ministries of the CSTO member countries took part in the
military drills. `In fact, a large-scale work has been done, but the
most important thing is that the Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense of
the Republic of Armenia and the Minister himself made great efforts to
improve the training ground and develop a proper idea and
implementation of the drills', - said the CSTO Secretary General.
It is quite important for the CSTO Secretariat that the training
issues are settled jointly in military and operative groups by the
efforts of the militaries from Armenia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Belarus. `They acted in accord and managed
to work in cooperation and settle problems together', - said Nikolay
Bordyuzha.
The `Cooperation 2012' joint military drills of the Collective Rapid
Response Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were
conducted in the `Marshal Baghramyan' training ground of the Ministry
of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
The military drills were attended by about 2000 militaries from
Armenia and other CSTO member countries. The subdivisions of the
Ministry of Defense, National Security Service, Police and Ministry of
Emergency Situations partook in the military training. The
non-aggressive drills were attended also by the representatives of the
Red Cross International Committee.
