Armenia's Independence Day celebrated in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES. - The Armenian community of the U.S. Western coast
solemnly celebrated the 21th anniversary of Armenia's independence.
Over thousands of public, political and cultural representatives
gathered together by the initiative of Armenia's Consulate General in
Los Angeles in the Armenian consulate. The Consul General Grigor
Hovhannisyan congratulated the community, stressed the contribution of
the Armenian-Americans for past 21 years. `The 21 years of
independence of our country is due to your efforts as well. I would
like to thank you for your contribution in Armenia's establishment,'
he said. Los Angeles and Glendale civil administration
representatives, diplomats accredited to the Western coast also
participated in the ceremony. The Los Angeles authorities
congratulated Armenia and the Armenian people on the occasion of the
holiday.
