Expedition was lost atop Armenia's Mt. Aragats

YEREVAN. - Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received a
call, on Saturday at 1:10am, informing that an expedition team
comprising seven people had headed toward the summit of Mount Aragats,
on Friday at around 10am, climbed the mountain's northern summit at
around 7pm, but it had gotten lost on the way back.
Numerous attempts were made to establish contact with the expedition
members, but to no avail, MES press service informs.
At 1:59am, however, a person, whose surname was Galstyan, informed
that the team is located at the western portion of the mountain, on
the road leading to Aragats village.
Ten fire and rescue officers and a rescue squad from the regional
rescue department were dispatched to the area.
As a result, they found Aparan city residents, 22-year-old Mehrab
Hakobyan, 22-year-old Manuk Barseghyan and 20-year-old Gegham Tonoyan,
Vanadzor city resident, 20-year-old Gor Grigoryan, 19-year-old Levon
Vardanyan, and Georgia's citizens, 21-year-old Narek Anatolyan and
Armen Chakhalyan.
