Spokesperson for the Prosperous Armenia party Naira Zohrabyan advises
Armenia's PM to search for violations in health care and urban
development spheres in other places.
`I would advise the PM to search for `kickbacks' in other ministries.
I am sure he knows it quite well,' PAP member told Tert.am.
A week ago Armenia's president conducted a consultation at the
government were he strictly criticized the `kickbacks' in healthcare
and urban development sectors, the situation in medicine market, terms
of conduction of tenders. After the consultation the PM instructed to
send materials to law enforcement bodies.
Former ministers of the urban development and healthcare were members
of the PAP Harutyun Kushkyan and Vardan Vardanyan. Naira Zohrabyan
though has not excluded that the remarks of the president related to
the former PAP ministers.
`I am convinced that they do not have any relation to the violations.
As far as know, the case of the National Library has been sent to
relevant bodies and I am sure we will get clear answers to the raised
questions,' she said.
At the same time Zohrabyan added that groundless accusations addressed
to ex-urban development minister Vardan Vardanyan do not bring honor
to anyone be it the head of the government or any other official.
She said she is not aware whether the part of the works amounting to
700 million drams has been implemented or not but expressed conviction
that the former minister has no relation to it.
As to the healthcare sphere, the PAP member said no one can doubt the
professionalism of Harutyun Kushkyan.
`I can say for sure that no one in the cabinet can be compared with
ex-minister Harutyun Kushkyan who implemented reforms in the
healthcare sphere,' she said.
Asked whether behind this the party views possibility of pressures on
the PAP by the authorities, Zohrabyan said she would not like to give
final assessment to it, nevertheless some circumstances give ground to
think so.
