ARMENIAN PM CONSIDERS THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE PRIORITY FOR ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Government high estimating
educated individual and establishment of the economy based on the
science, considers the balanced development and its subsequent progress
priority in its strategic programs. As Armenpress reports PM Sargsyan
came forth with the statement in the course of the conference entitled
"Armenia's science and education" launched by the Armenian National
Science and Education Fund hosted in the National Academy of Sciences.
In the words of Armenian head of the Executive body ANSEF charitable
institution within the rank of numerous similar projects year by year
starts to occupy its own place in contribution to national science
and education. Due to its active participation the Fund has gradually
gained a leading supporter and sponsor reputation.The head of the
Government stated that having the goal to support Armenian science and
education system, to raise scientific thinking and education quality at
a new level, to prevent the drain on intellectual leadership, started
from the very day of its establishment the Fund greatly contributes
to the initiatives directed to national science and education system,
Armenpress reports.
Tigran Sargsyan voiced confidence the conference will stimulate
the work of the Fund , to promote the works of ANSEF , contribute
to further strengthening of cooperation with science and jointly
undertaken works for recording new success in coming years.
In the words of US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern his country
will also further on continue to show an active support to ANSEF
activities, will prompt young Armenian scientists turn their mental
abilities into practical work.
The head of National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan assured
new scientific ideas would occurr in the future which will then
occupy their won place in the global scientific arena. In the context
Martirosyan highlighted the comprehensive support in scientific field.
