The criticism Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan voiced at the Armenian
government's meeting on September 15 will be followed by concrete
steps Karine Achemyan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia
(RPA) parliamentary group, told journalists on Monday.
"Even children talks about kickbacks, and we must battle this
phenomenon. Strong-worded statements were followed by certain steps,
which will be consistent," she said.
Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of the Heritage party, is surprised why
no one listened to the party's voice when it raised the problems.
"The president allowed them to speak, and they are doing so. With
respect to medicines, the Heritage party has struggled for three years,
and Samvel Alexanyan was fined 50 million drams," Bakhshyan said.
Since RPA MPs are openly discussing the problems, Bakhshyan asked
Achemyan to inform the Armenian president that gas supply has been
installed in only one of 15 communities in Aragatsotn and Armavir
despite the fact that the funds were allocated.
"They took millions but have not done anything. Who took the money? I
am tired of speaking about that!" Bakhshyan said.
Achemyan assured the attendees that all those responsible would be
punished. She noted that the "president's reprimands were not only
intended for the ex-ministers representing the PAP."
