ARMENIA-BASED HERITAGE PARTY LEADER REFUSES TO PARTICIPATE IN ICAPP ASSEMBLY IN AZERBAIJAN'S CAPITAL

Chairman of the Armenia-based Heritage party Raffi Hovhannisyan has
been invited to an assembly of the International Conference of Asian
Political Parties (ICAPP), which is to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan,
this November.
According to a press release, the reason for the invitation is Mr
Hovhannisyan's participation in the ICAPP assembly in Phnom Penh,
Cambodia.
He visited the places that once served as concentration camps and
delivered a speech on democracy and challenges to autonomy, as well
as to the Armenian Genocide, prevention of crimes against humanity
and freedom of Nagorno-Karabakh.
In his letter to the organizers, Mr Hovhannisyan explained the reasons
for his refusal to participate in the ICAPP assembly in Azerbaijan's
capital.
