Armenian Officer Gurgen Margaryan would be 34 today, if not the
Budapest tragedy of 19 February, 2004. His family and friends,
representatives of the Ministry of Defense, students of higher
educational establishments visited the Yerablur Pantheon today to
pay tribute to his memory.
Representatives of different layers of society raised their voice
of protest against the extradition of the murderer and his further
glorification in Azerbaijan.
President of the "Gurgen Margaryan" NGO Ashot Kocharyan says he could
expect any nasty step from Azerbaijan, but not from the Hungarian
government and judiciary. "Safarov's transfer was a shameful deal,"
he said.
