Armenian President has instructed to build two major oncologic centers

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: Two major oncologic centers, unique
in the region, are being built in Armenia by the instruction of
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Armenian Minister of Health Derenik
Dumanyan came forth in the course of the joint session of National
Assembly health care, maternity and childhood Issues, financial and
budgetary affairs permanent commissions.
''All aspects of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation medicine are
taken into consideration in this centers'' Minister noted. Oncological
and oncohematological children's centers are equipped by all the
modern methods, techniques. Oncological center is scheduled to have
all the methods of Radiation Research, the latest achievements in
chemotherapy. ''There will be stem cell and bone marrow department in
Oncohematological children's center, the lack of which often makes us
turn to foreign medical centers" Minister noted.
Professionals will be invited from Germany for design and construction
of Oncohematological center: there are no relevant specialists in
post-Soviet countries. Dumanyan assured the design works of
oncohematological center have already started and will be completed
in December.
