3,257 seeking jobs in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic
STEPANAKERT, September 28. /ARKA/. In early September 2012, the number
of jobseekers in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic was 3,257, of which 3,091
were women.
According to the information available on the Nagorno-Karabakh labor
and social affairs ministry's website, the number of people seeking
jobs has contracted by 355 over one year.
Some 3,014 people (92.5% of jobseekers) have unemployment status. Of
them, 2,664 are Stepanakert's residents, and only 51 are Askeran
province's residents.
Some 341 of the registered unemployed, including 297 women, receive
unemployment benefit. Their number reduced by 145, compared with the
previous year's September.
Some 160 people have been employed over a period between early
September 2011 and early September 2012, 129 of them were women.-0-
