CSTO Rapid Response Forces do not interfere in internal affairs of states

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will not prevent
the transit of weapons from Afghanistan via CSTO member states, CSTO
Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzah stated, when delivering a lecture
at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University in Bishkek, Rosbalt
reported.
`What is the use of preventing the transit of arms? The operation in
Afghanistan is in the interests of all countries,' Bordyuzha said.
He also stressed that the Collective Rapid Response Forces of CSTO do
not interfere in internal political affairs of other states. In
Bordyuzha's words, CSTO Rapid Response Forces do not act like an
international gendarme because these forces were established for the
fight against armed gangs and not against civilians.
