Republican Prosecutor's Office of Istanbul against the Editor-in-Chief
of Armenian "Agos" periodical Rober KoptaÅ~_ and Turkish writer Umit
Kıvanc caused a serious discontent in the Turkish society. As reports
"Armenpress" citing "Agos" periodical, a number of individuals voiced
about their dissatisfaction regarding the recent event in Twitter
social website. In particular one of the users stated that this is a
result of discrimination and ignorance and the same factors resulted
in Hrant Dink's murder.
Another user stated: "Now I can say one thing. I also think like them,
launch another investigation against me too." Also one of the users
highlighted that it's not the Armenian editor's statement regarding
Hrant Dink's trial that will serve as a reason to sue a new case,
but the national identity of the editor.
Resident of Antalya, Aydin Tascin filed a complaint against the
statement, Rober KoptaÅ~_ and Turkish writer Umit Kıvanc issued on
January 17, 2012 on Haber Turk TV. Turkish citizens Rober KoptaÅ~_
