IRAN CALLS FOR IRAN-ARMENIA ACADEMIC COOPERATION

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Wednesday that
academic cooperation between Iran and Armenia would help consolidate
mutual ties.
Mehmanparast told Ruben Safrastian, director of the Institute for
Eastern Studies of the Armenian National Academy of Science that
Iran has throughout history had the best kind of relations with other
countries and currently favors restoration of peace, tranquility and
security in the region.
Terming current world order as ~Sunfair~T, Mehmanparast said,
~SDue to the same reason, we are witnessing that advanced sciences
are monopolized by few states and the big and deep rooted problems
emanated from monopoly.
Safrastian in turn called Iran-Armenia relations friendly and cordial
and said while maintaining a balance in the region for tens of years,
the Islamic Republic of Iran has had good relations with Armenia.
He said the stance and policies of Iran in the region are of importance
for Yerevan, so, thanks to endeavors of the Institute for Eastern
Studies of the Armenian National Academy of Science, the studies have
been published about a special country and on the region in a book:
