A war between Armenia and Azerbaijan is inevitable, analyst Alexander
Perenjiev of the Russian Association of Military Political Scientists
told Vesti.az.
`Why? First, [because] Nagorno-Karabakh, and also the territory
between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh are under the control of official
Yerevan. Second, the international institutions and the countries are
weakening [their] influence on the peace process. [And] third,
Azerbaijan constantly increases its military potential,' the analyst
noted.
In Perenjiev's words, under such conditions, the chances of Azerbaijan
waging a war after the 2014 Winter Olympics - which will be held in
Sochi, Russia - are completely logical.
