Romanian economy minister proposes to conduct Armenian-Romanian economic forum
YEREVAN, April 9. /ARKA/. Varujan Vosganian, Romanian economy minister
of Armenian descent, proposed Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan
to hold an Armenian-Romanian economic forum for the two countries'
entrepreneurs as met him in Yerevan on Monday, the press office of the
Armenian government reports.
Sargsyan upheld the proposal.
The Armenian premier stressed the importance of Armenian-Romanian
cooperation and pointed out the necessity of developing it.
`We should use our friendly ties to deepen and widen cooperation
between the two countries, first of all, economic relations,' he said.
`The respected and influential Armenian community in Romania can serve
as a platform for spurring further development of Armenian-Romanian
relations.'
Sargsyan also confirmed the invitation for his Romanian counterpart to
visit Armenia and stressed that this visit will give another impetus
to economic cooperation between the countries.
Cooperation in information technology, tourism and agriculture areas
was among the issues discussed by the Armenian premier and Romanian
