Serzh Sargsyan received Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi

YEREVAN, APRIL 8, ARMENPRESS: President Serzh Sargsyan hosted Iranian
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi. Iranian Foreign Minister
arrived in Armenia in order to participate in the official
inauguration ceremony of newly elected Armenian President.
As Armenpress was informed from informational and public relations
department of President's Office, Head of State greeted the guest and
underlined that relations with reliable friend Islamic Republic of
Iran were much evaluated and of a great significance for Armenia. At
the meeting interlocutors have discussed number of bilateral economic
issues in different spheres and expressed gladness over the volume of
trade turnover between the two states. They have also estimated works
carried out for implementation of joint programs in energy and
transport sectors, including once existing exploitation of
Armenia-Iran high-voltage 3rd line, hydroelectric power plants on
Araks River.
On behalf of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, government and
people of Iran, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi conveyed their best
wishes to President Sargsyan in such a responsible position. In his
turn Mr. Sargsyan wished success during upcoming June presidential
elections in Iran.
