ARMENIAN-BELARUSIAN ECONOMIC INTERACTION SHOULD REACH LEVEL OF POLITICAL COOPERATION - ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT HEAD

YEREVAN. - Armenia's National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan on
Wednesday received a delegation led by Speaker Vladimir Andreichenko of
the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, who
had arrived in capital city Yerevan to attend Tuesday's inauguration
of the President of Armenia.
NA Speaker gave a high evaluation to the level of Armenian-Belarusian
relations, and underscored the need to expand cooperation, NA press
service informs. In his words, interparliamentary ties likewise are
developing well.
Abrahamyan also highlighted cooperation in the international arena.
The Armenian parliament leader, however, noted that the economic
interaction between the two countries should reach the level of
political cooperation.
In his turn, Andreichenko congratulated Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan's convincing victory in the recent presidential vote
and for being reelected into office. He also gave emphasis to
interparliamentary collaboration and exchange of legislative knowhow.
In addition, the activities of the Interparliamentary Cooperation
Commission were highly evaluated.
Vladimir Andreichenko drew attention to cooperation, and noted that
Armenia and Belarus possess an unused potential for developing trade
and economic ties.
