YEREVAN, April 10. /ARKA/. Armenia jumped in cigarette export within
2011-2012, deputy chief of consulting management at Ameria CJSC Karen

He noted this sphere is dynamically growing and has even further
    potential for advancement.

"25% of Armenian cigarettes is exported to Iraq, 17% -Russia, and
nearly 19%- EU," Martirosyan unveiled the results of Ameria's research
    of food, drinks and cigarettes.

According to the research, domestic demand for Armenian cigarettes
is slightly lower than the export demand.

Martirosyan highlighted Armenia imports tobacco goods mainly from
the EU member states, Russia and some other CIS countries. Armenia's
Customs service reported total of 3860,2 million cigars, cigarillos
and cigarettes were exported in 2012 versus 1414,3 million in 2011.

The customs value of the exported tobacco goods stood at $41.8 million,
which was 2.5 times or by $25.5 million higher from 2011.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, tobacco
production in Armenia in 2012 valued at 25.4 billion drams, 57.1
    percent increase from 2011.

Thus, Armenia produced 6155 million cigarettes, which was 83.2%
or by 2794,5 million more, compared with 2011.

Ameria evaluated macroeconomic situation in Armenia, food production
volumes, foreign trade and compared the results with those in other
countries. The research also reveals the principal market players,
volume of sales at domestic market, as well as risks and threats.
