Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius who is currently attending the
World Economic Forum in Azerbaijan capital Baku says that a stand of
individual members of Parliament who have established support group of
Nagorno-Karabakh is not official position of Lithuania, reports Trend.
"The group has been set up by a few MPs whose position does not
match official position of Vilnius and the majority of them do not
understand the essence of the issue," says the PM.
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry earlier expressed its concern
about Lithuanian Parliament's initiative to set up the so-called
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Support Group. For this reason, Lithuanian
Ambassador to Baku was given a note of protest.
