ARMENIAN MP ENQUIRES ABOUT DEATH OF CHILDREN IN MINE BLAST

Aram Manukyan, an Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary
group member, during the question hour in Armenia's parliament on
Wednesday, addressed the tragedy in the Shirak region of Armenia,
when a mine blast killed to children.
Mr Manukyan noted that the tragedy went unnoticed against the latest
political developments.
He directed an enquiry to Armenia's acting minister of defense Seyran
Ohanyan about relevant preventive measures.
Mr Ohanyan explained that the area of Russian military base #102
is enclosed.
"I have received the ex-commander and commander of military base #102.
We have to warn the local population against visiting the area during
military exercises," he said.
In response, Mr Manuikyan said that the area is not f3nced around,
and any person may enter it.
