SERZH SARGSYAN MEETS ARGENTINA'S VICE PRESIDENT AND PRESIDENT OF SENATE AMADO BOUDOU

President Serzh Sargsyan met Vice President and President of Senate
of Argentina Amado Boudou who along with numerous guests arrived
in Armenia to attend the ceremony of inauguration of the President
of Armenia.
Welcoming the high guest and his delegation, the President noted that
despite geographical distance, relations between Armenia and Argentina
have always been exceptionally warm, while great sympathy and mutual
trust between the two peoples have been in existence long before
Armenia's independence. According to Serzh Sargsyan, Argentina has
always been compassionate toward the problems of the Armenian nation.
The parties underscored that in the international settings,
the approaches and positions of the two countries on a number of
significant issues concur, and that the Armenian-Argentine relations
are based on mutual assistance and trust.
During the meeting, President Serzh Sargsyan once again expressed
his deep condolences to the authorities and people of Argentina over
the natural disaster which recently hit the country. The President
of Armenia expressed the hope that Argentina will speedily recover
from the consequences of the floods and the life of the people of
friendly Argentina will get back to normal.
Praising the current level of the Armenian-Argentinean relations, Amado
Boudou and Serzh Sargsyan expressed willingness and readiness to give
a new impetus to the bilateral relations and to expand cooperation,
presidential press service reported.
