The small-to-medium business is of a certain importance for the
steadfast economic growth of a country, as it gives innovational
impulses to the economy. "Armenpress" News Agency highly appreciates
the significant role the small-to-medium business plays; each week
"Armenpress" introduces business stories regarding various branches
of economy.
YEREVAN, APRIL 11, ARMENPRESS. Minas Ter-Davtyan had left Iraq and
moved to Armenia in April 2007. Due to the help of his brothers'
friends Minas was employed in auto repair station of a taxi service.
Minas told us that he owned private auto repair station in Iraq
since 1996.
Minas worked in various auto repair stations till 2011. He stated that
the customers noticed that he and his brothers did not cheat them, and
they did not bother to leave the cars under their care. Minas jokingly
noted: "All the artisans are cheaters." They moved to Baghdad from
Iraqi city of Mosul and after they left Baghdad and moved to Armenia.
Minas is among those businessmen, who participated in the classes
organized by the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National
Center of Armenia and the Armenian Office of the UN High Commissioner
for Refugees and received credit to start his own business. He had
almost finished the construction of his service centre in Darakert
Village of the Ararat Province on December 2012.
Notwithstanding the construction is not yet entirely
over, but Minas already receives clients. (THE FULL
