US TO REDUCE ECONOMIC AID TO ARMENIA BY 38%

The US Congress plans to reduce economic aid for Armenia by 38% to
the lowest volume since the earthquake in 1988, News Armenia reports.
The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) and the group for
Armenian issues at the US Congress requested $50 million in early
2013, but the US president granted $24.719 million. Financial aid
totaled $40 million in 2013.
According to the IMET program, financial aid totals $600,000, while
FMF states $2.7 million.
Executive Director of the ANCA Aram Gamparyan said that President
Obama had failed to double trade and investments with Armenia.
