LEADER AHEAD OF PEOPLE - ARMEN MARTIROSYAN OF RAFFI HOVANNISIAN

Heritage party Vice-Chairman Armen Martirosyan made a speech at a
rally the party leader Raffi Hovannisian held in Yerevan's Freedom
Square on Friday evening.
"In a couple of years they will be detaining one another. They will
not be able to drive a taxi to keep their families," he said as he
recalled the April 9 events in Yerevan's Baghramyan Ave.
He pointed out an unprecedented situation: the leader was ahead, not
behind, the people. "Such a leader may be mistaken or may even fall.
But he will never give in," Martirosyan said.
"Much as we say that this movement is not for Raffi, the movement
leader will do many things," Martirosyan said.
He expressed his appreciation for Hovannisian's efforts to prevent
bloodshed.
