PRE-PARLIAMENT'S RALLY DOES NOT MEAN IT QUITS COOPERATION WITH RAFFI HOVANNISIAN - ZHIRAYR SEFILYAN

The rally to be conducted by Pre-parliament on May 9 does not mean
that the initiative will not cooperate with Raffi Hovannisian any
more, member of Sardarapat movement initiative group, member of
Pre-parliament's secretariat Zhirayr Sefilyan told Tert.am.

"We just had arrangement till April 9 and the path we had imagined
was to be carried out that day but it did not happen that is why we
start rallies but we still stay in touch with Raffi Hovannisian and
search for partnership edges," he said.

Earlier Pre-parliament issued a statement informing about the rally
it is going to conduct on May 9 - Shushi Liberation Day and day of
Victory in Great Patriotic War. The statement also said that people's
rebellion wave that launched after February 18 election is not being
headed in a right way and the fight goes to deadlock.

Asked what their unjustified expectations were on April 9, Sefilyan
said at least it was necessary to show a clear prospect of fight to
    the people.

"There was to be a clear succession of logical steps that would
inspire hope to our people and by going home they would know what to
do next. The rallies conducted throughout the years in Armenia were
aimed at informing people and the people were periodically used by
many forces. Unlike it, we offer the rallies have self-organization
    goal," he said.

Sefilyan stressed that the 30,000 people gathered in the Liberty
Square on April 9 should have been shown the clear prospect of the
fight and be guided for the implementation of a general goal.

"Unfortunately, it did not happen. Many have the wrong opinion
that when people are shouting 'now' they understand Baghramyan
    26. Yes, part of them do, but the majority shouting 'now' demand
clear prospect of fight, clear succession of steps, people came for
it. In today's conditions it was not easy to gather so many people
but Raffi Hovannisian succeeded but unfortunately failed to use the
    prime moment," he said.

Sefilyan noted that as a result the work has become more complicated
but they will continue it though with smaller forces. He promised
that they will progress and voiced hope that Raffi Hovannisian will
    help them with his opportunities.

Sefilyan said the country is currently occupied and the time for
raising the national-liberation flag has come. Asked whether they are
convinced that people will come to the square, he said that people
will again mobilize if they see that people on platform are frank,
devoted and have proven with their past that they are ready to serve
    and not dominate.
