YEREVAN TO HAND OVER WORLD BOOK CAPITAL TITLE TO BANGKOK ALONG WITH SURPRISES

YEREVAN, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS. The range of events held in World
Book Capital Yerevan and aimed at the popularization of book will be
finished on April 20. In a conversation with "Armenpress" the Adviser
to the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, Coordinator of
"Yerevan - World Book Capital" program Nerses Ter-Vardanyan stated
that the final events will be held in the Yerevan Municipality on
April 20. Also the organizers will hold a number of public events
including book exhibitions, presentations, etc.
Armenian delegation will head to the next world book capital Bangkok
on April 21-23 and introduce a row of events in the new capital and
hand over the honorary title to the city. The Minister of Culture of
the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan will head the delegation.
According to Nerses Ter-Varjapetyan Yerevan will have its pavilion
in Bangkok and represent 12 statues by Davit Minasyan symbolizing
the books, which celebrated their jubilee during the current year.
