April 18, 2013 | 13:29
YEREVAN. - Recognition of the Armenian Genocide is a political issue,
head of National Archive of Armenia Amatuni Virabyan said.
"We often see how the heads of the foreign states sometimes interrupt
their official and working visits to Armenia in order to avoid visiting
Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims," Virabyan told reporters
on Thursday.
He is confident that historical facts cannot register progress in
Genocide recognition process.
"Although, different countries can acknowledge the fact of the
Genocide, it is all about politics. Policy remains the same. Despite
this, we must continue our work," he concluded.
