    ARAKSYA KARAPETIAN, KTTV FOX 11 REPORTER, JOINS IN AIWA EVENT HONORING KATHERINE SARAFIAN

    - APRIL 18, 2013

    Los Angeles, CA - Responses to the Celebration Luncheon honoring
    Katherine Sarafian hosted by the Los Angeles Affiliate of the Armenian
    International Women's Association, has far exceeded expectations. The
    event to be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Beverly Hills
    Hotel, has been moved to the Crystal Ballroom of the Beverly Hills
    Hotel in order to accommodate the increase in reservations.

    Katherine Sarafian continues to receive commendations and
    congratulations for her role as Producer on Disney*Pixar's most recent
    Golden Globe and Oscar winning film, "Brave." Sarafian has been an
    integral part of the success and growth of Pixar Animation Studios,
    holding a variety of key leadership positions that have culminated in
    her role as Producer of the award winning film "Brave." Previously,
    she worked as production coordinator on the studio's first full length
    feature film "Toy Story." She served as Production Manager in Pixar's
    Short Film Department and as Art Department Manager on the studio's
    second feature film "A Bug's Life." She also worked in the production
    of "Monsters, Inc," "The Incredibles," and the Oscar-winning
    "Ratatouille" in 2007.

    The Program Committee for this special event are proud to announce
    that Araksya Karapetian,

    Reporter/anchor for KTTV Fox 11 News will be one of the featured
    speakers at the luncheon. Karapetian is one of our most noted women
    in the field of journalism currently working on the KTTV Morning Show,
    4:30 - 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Broadcast. Karapetian joins Ken
    Davitian, noted American Actor and Comedian of Armenian descent,
    serving as the Master of Ceremonies. Davitian is best known for his
    role in the 2006 comedy film, "Borat," and in the 2011 Academy Award
    Winning film, "The Artist."

    Araksya Karapetian gained her experience from simultaneously taking on
    two internships at KABC-TV in Glendale and KFI Radio, and a job at
    Torrance City Cable 3, waking up at midnight to work the overnight
    shift at KABC, after which she would go to KFI in Burbank and finish
    her day in Torrance.

    She emigrated to Palos Verdes from Armenia when she was seven years
    old. She went to college in New York, graduating from Syracuse
    University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and International
    Relations. Prior to joining Fox, she was a reporter at a small
    television station, KIDK-TV in Idaho Falls, ID, and then spent two
    years at KOIN-TV in Portland, OR. She returned to L.A. to be with her
    family; she is fluent in Armenian, Spanish, Russian and English.

    The program will also feature His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan
    Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of
    North America, reflecting on Katherine's father, Rev. Fr. Sarafian,
    who served for 20 years as Parish Priest of St. Vartan Church,
    Oakland.
