PRESIDENT SARGSYAN SIGNED A DECREE TO CONDUCT THE 2013 SPRING DRAFT AND DEMOBILIZATION

President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree to conduct the 2013 spring
draft and demobilization.
According to the decree, it was decided to draft in May-July 2013 for
compulsory military service and alternative service those male
citizens of the Republic of Armenia who will have become 18 years old
before June 30, who do not have or lost their deferral as well as
those citizens who will have become 18 years old on June 30 and who
are included in the lists certified by the RA Ministry of Education
and Science as applicants who participated at the entry exams to the
higher education institutions and who will not have presented deferral
documents before July 15, 2013. It was also decided to conduct
demobilization of the servicemen who have completed their term of
military service in May-June, 2013.
The Government of the Republic of Armenia was instructed to adopt in a
two-week period of time the pertinent decision for the implementation
of the present decree.
