GOVERNMENT TO ASSIST IT COMPANIES DEVELOPMENT

The Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the information
technologies development program.
As Armenpress reports, at the session of the Government on April 18 the
Acting Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Davtyan
stated that events would be organized jointly with the private sector
representatives. "We will implement certain actions with different
companies directed to the development of the field of information
technologies. It is intended to provide for the participation in
international exhibitions and conferences", - said Tigran Davtyan.
The program aims at supporting the implementation of the programs
in Armenia, carried out by the Armenian-Indian IT Center, Microsoft
Innovation Center, Nokia and other transnational companies.
The sphere of information technologies is one of the most prior
directions for the Government of the Republic of Armenia and during
the last three years it provides a two-digit economic growth.
