Artsakh will turn from electric power importer into the exporter in
2014. Deputy Head of Qashatagh Province

    13:34, 20 April, 2013

YEREVAN, APRIL 20, ARMENPRESS: From 2014 Artsakh Republic will turn
from electric power importer into the exporter. This was assured by
Deputy Head of the Artsakh Qashatagh Province Artush Mkhitaryan during
    April 20 press conference.

`Three hydroelectric stations are being exploited in Nagorno-Karabakh
in last 2 years and forth one is underway,' Armenpress quoted
Mkhitaryan. He has reminded that leadership of Artsakh Republic plans
to grant energy independence to the country in 2014.

Mkhitaryan has noted that Qashatagh region is rich in certain mineral
resources and that after some investigation works the mining will be
launched. Mkhitaryan called on to make investments in the region,
underlining favorable conditions of the region.

Qashatagh Province is one of the 7 provinces of the Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic and the largest by area (3,376.60 km2).
