The Armenian-Polish business forum has kicked off in Yerevan
today on the sidelines of the third session of the Armenian-Polish
    intergovernmental commission.

Armenian acting Deputy Minister of Economy Ara Petrosyan, Polish Deputy
Minister of Economy Tomasz Tomczykiewicz, General Director of Armenian
Development Agency Robert Harutyunyan attended the forum. 9 Polish
construction companies have arrived in Armenia to attend the forum.

"Armenia and Poland have always had good-neighborly relations,"
Ara Petrosyan told the opening ceremony of the forum.

"I think this forum will help further strengthen the ties between
the two countries as well as will contribute to the development of
trade and economic relations," he said.

General Director of Armenian Development Agency Robert Harutyunyan,
for his part, said that the Armenian-Polish business forum will give
Armenian businessmen the possibility to present their proposals.

He noted that in 2011 the trade turnover between Armenia and Poland
totaled about $36m while in 2012 it increased abruptly, reaching
$42.4m. Harutyunyan, meanwhile, said that this figure is not sufficient
and that they will try not only to increase the trade turnover between
the two countries but also to expand the assortment of exported and
    imported goods.
