ARMENIAN GENOCIDE: TESTIMONIES OF WITNESSES BOOK PRESENTED

Armenian Genocide: Testimonies of Witnesses book by Verzhine Svazyan
has been presented today. The author said the book has been published
in Armenian and English languages and soon the Turkish version will
be issued.
"It includes 700 life stories. Though I have heard thousands of
stories, one more terrible than the other but I have decided to present
700. Besides these stories the book includes summaries in 7 languages,"
she said.
The author also said that she works on Armenian Genocide issue for more
than 55 years. She has gathered the stories not only from different
regions of Armenia, but Lebanon, Syria, Canada, the USA, Turkey.
Svazyan noted that for years a number of studies about Armenian
genocide have been issued but the most important is the testimonies
of survivors.
"Those who have seen and suffered must speak about it. From legal
point of you the testimonies of the survivors are as important as
the testimonies of witnesses in the courts," he said.
