Obama Avoids 'Genocide' Term
President Obama acknowledged the Armenian holocaust Wednesday, but
refained from using the term 'genocide', "The Ottoman empire is
guilty of one of the worst atrocities of the 20th century."
During his presidential campaign, Obama vowed to call the Armenian
holocaust 'genocide' once in office, but has avoided doing so for the
sake of good diplomacy with US ally, Turkey.
