April 26, 2013 | 12:51
YEREVAN. - Russian Federation Ambassador to Armenia, Vyacheslav
Kovalenko, who soon will complete his diplomatic mission in Armenia,
criticized Europe.
Speaking at the first Eurasian youth forum - entitled `One Step
Forward' - which got underway in Armenia's capital city Yerevan on
Friday, Kovalenko noted that, `The Eurasian space is imposed upon no
one, [and] it does not require from the participating countries to
fulfill conditions on the precept of `More for More.''
To note, in its relations with the participants in the Eastern
Partnership Project, the European Union is guided by the aforesaid
principle.
`We believe that this approach is incorrect. Everyone is free to
control its destiny. I do not think that you will ever vote in favor
of same-sex marriages - as a value of European civilization - in Armenia,
or in other countries,' the Russian ambassador stressed.
