Bako Sahakyan had meeting with representatives of France-Artsakh
friendship circle

YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARMENPRESS. On 25 April the President of the
Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan arrived in Paris with a working visit.
The Central Information Department of the Artsakh Republic President
informed "Armenpress" that on the same day the Head of the State laid
wreath to the monument of Komitas located in the center of Paris,
paying homage to the memory of 1915 Armenian genocide victims.
The President was accompanied by NKR minister of foreign affairs Karen
Mirzoyan, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic
of Armenia to France Vigen Chitechyan, head of the Central Information
Department of the Artsakh Republic President's Office David Babayan,
NKR permanent representative to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan and other
officials.
Also President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met in Paris
representatives of the France-Artsakh friendship circle.
President Bako Sahakyan expressed gratitude to the members of the
structure for permanent support shown to Artsakh and creating the
friendship circle.
According to the Head of the State this was an important political and
humanitarian undertaking, which would give a new impetus to expanding
and deepening ties between the two states and nations.
Issues related to the domestic and foreign policy of Artsakh, regional
policy and the implementation of a number of joint projects were
raised during the meeting too.

extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to France
Vigen Chitechyan, head of the Central Information Department of the
Artsakh Republic President's Office David Babayan, NKR permanent

present at the meeting.
The President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan also met in Paris
ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of
Armenia to France Vigen Chitechyan.
A number of issues related to strengthening the Motherland-Diaspora
ties and fair representation of the Artsakh issue in France were
discussed during the meeting.
President Bako Sahakyan underlined the significance of close
cooperation between the diplomatic missions of the two Armenian states
in these dimensions, considering it an important precondition for
achieving desirable results.
The President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the
residency of the French Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and
met its primate Archbishop Norvan Zakaryan.
Issues related to strengthening the Motherland-Diaspora relations,
Pan-Armenian tasks as well as domestic and foreign policy of Artsakh
were discussed during the meeting.
Bako Sahakyan rated high the role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in
maintaining national identity in the Diaspora and cementing ties with
the Motherland.
