Hayak 2013: Russian-Armenian filmmaker's movie nominated for prize

Russian-Armenian producer and screenwriter Karen Shahnazarov is in
Yerevan to attend the annual Armenian film award ceremony, Hayak,
where he has been nominated for the Foreign Film prize.
Speaking to reporters, the 63-year-old filmmaker said he is very
touched to know that his movie - The White Tiger - is in the prize
nominee list. `I have positive feelings for being nominated. I am
touched and happy,' said he, adding that Armenia has always properly
evaluated cinematography.
Shahnazarov noted jokingly that the country which does not have money
appreciates art.
`The jury - under the leadership of David Muradyan - has, of course,
selected the best in 15 different nominations. This year we have new
nominations - Best Actor, Best Secondary Role Actress, and Foreign
Film,' said the film maker.
Of the 48 films nominated for Hayak 2013, six are foreign productions.
