YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, ARMENPRESS: The Head of the Department of Culture
and Tourism of the Yerevan Municipality Kamo Movsisyan, the Deputy
Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs Tigran Astvatsatryan and
the Head of the Department of Tourism Maria Baraghamyan hosted the
representatives of the Indian tourist company North Star Hospitality.
As Armenpress was reported by the Department for Mass Media and Public
Relations of the Yerevan Municipality, the Director of the North Star
Hospitality Rohit Noronha stated that the advance of Yerevan during
the last years is obvious, in the result of which the interest of the
Indians towards our capital is growing. Rohit Noronha expressed his
hope that due to the joint work the volumes of the bilateral visits
will increase.
The North Star Hospitality is one of the largest private companies
in the field of tourism aiming at expanding the tourism market in
Yerevan. In 2008 the Yerevan Municipality and the government of Delhi
signed a memorandum of understanding. In the nearest future it is
intended to create an Indian Park in the capital's Malatia-Sebastia
Administrative District and open direct flights between Yerevan and
the Indian cities.
