YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS: The two explosions, blown in the
city of Tripoli of the North Lebanon, transfer the Lebanese panic
into quite an alarming stage. As Armenpress was reported by the
Editor-in-Chief of Azdak Daily Shahan Kandaharian, the explosions of
the Beirut's southern suburbs a week ago also should be taken into
account. "Tripoli is populated by Sunnis and the southern suburbs are
inhabited by Shiites", - said Kandaharian, noting that it is clear
that some forces try to strain the two main Lebanese communities
against each other and bring to collisions.
"Besides, in response to the bombings from the South Lebanon to the
North Israel, on August 23 the Israeli air forces attacked one of
the centers of the Palestinian grouping, from where, as reported by
media, the missiles have been released", - said the Editor-in-Chief of
Azdak Daily. According to Shahan Kandaharian, serious and hazardous
developments are taking place in Lebanon and this proves the fact
of some dividing program, particularly, in terms of confronting two
important Muslim forces.
On August 23 two explosions have rocked the North Lebanese city of
Tripoli, with reports of numerous casualties. The Editor-in-Chief
of Azdak Daily Shahan Kandaharian stated earlier about this to
Armenpress. Neither Armenians nor Armenian structures have been
damaged in the result of the explosions. Though 30 people were killed
and 500 were wounded. The condition of 70 of them is extremely grave.
In the result of the explosions in June in Lebanon the Armenian
community was not harmed. On August 23 a military situation in the
Sidon city of the South Lebanon was created, when elements of the
Islamist groupings attacked the Lebanese army. The army suffered
victims and wounded.
