Armenian Transport Minister Gagik Beglaryan did not keep his promise
to settle the issue of illegal taxi services, head of Civil Position
NGO Gevorg Dosturyan told Panorama.am in an interview.
"The number of illegal taxi services has increased excessively.
Therefore, drivers who provide legal taxi service are in a tough
situation and want to organize a protest," he said.
According to Dosturyan, they have met the request of the Minister's
Aide to wait until Beglaryan returns from vacation and canceled the
protest scheduled for August 26, but unless the problem is solved
after the meeting with Beglaryan, several hundreds of citizens will
take to the streets.
